Cherry Blossoms

DC Cherry Blossoms

Yesterday I went down to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms. I love DC! It is only about an hour drive-I am very lucky to live so close to our nations capital.

The trees were a bit past their prime, but still beautiful. It was nearly 90 degrees, so it was more like a summer than spring!

The family and I walked along the Tidal Basin to enjoy the blossoms. Then we caught some live music, went to the Jefferson and Washington monuments, and walked by the white house to see the crowd for the egg roll :)

Before leaving we went to dinner at Phillips for some delicious crab cake and sunset over the water. It was a beautiful day!

  3. Agreed! DC is one of the prettiest cities in the spring. I was just there a few weeks ago and it was beautiful.

I absolutely love your bags, too -- they look so well made and are priced just right. I subscribed to your feed and can't wait to follow your sewing adventures. :)
