When I am not hard at work behind the sewing machine, you can find me behind a register. That's right- I am a cashier at a local grocery store. Glamorous, I know.
It is a decent job. I enjoy working at a grocery store [sometimes it drives me crazy but that's a post for another day]. Ringing up groceries is repetitive, but I talk to a lot of interesting people who tell me a lot of stories. It is amazing how open people can be with their cashier. Plus, there is the added benefit of getting paid to read gossip mags. Sweet.
These pictures are great! I used to work at a local grocery store, too --- I loved seeing so many people everyday. It's a good job. ;)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your photos (really enjoying the vintage-esque look!!)
ReplyDeleteI worked in a grocery store too for a while! I was at the Deli Counter! (still have not figured out what Head Cheese is...) It was a fun job!
I've been a cashier and truly enjoyed it! You have to be a people person and able to let some people's comments not get to you!

hahhaha! i always chat with my cashier. ;)
ReplyDeletei also have a job where i meet a lot of random people (though our interactions are usually 30 mins - an hour), and the best part of it is when we're just chatting about randomsauce. like on thursday, one of my clients had just been in my hometown (back in michigan) the week before! the world is a tiny place and it makes me smile. :D
